A DSAR is a request by an individual to exercise their rights regarding personal data under applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR). These requests may include typical GDPR subject rights such as access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or portability of personal data.
This page explains how individuals and businesses can exercise their rights under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in relation to personal data processed by Limon Apps BV, a company incorporated under the Belgian law with its corporate seat in Grote Moortel 12, 9830 Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium, registered with the trade register under VAT N° BE0766.984.641 (“LIMONI APPS BV”, “LIMONI APPS”, “LICENSOR”, “US“, “WE”) as it relates to your use of the Discount Ninja application (“DISCOUNT NINJA“, “APP”).
Because Limoni Apps processes personal data in different roles depending on the context, the applicable process depends on who you are and how your data is processed. Please read the section below to determine which DSAR procedure applies to you.
Understanding the Roles and Terminology
Under data protection law:
A Data Subject is an individual whose personal data is processed.
A Data Controller determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
A Data Processor processes personal data on behalf of a data controller.
In the context of Discount Ninja:
Merchants (business customers using Discount Ninja) act as data controllers for personal data processed in connection with their account and store.
Limoni Apps acts as:
a data controller for merchant account and business contact data, and
a data processor for personal data relating to store visitors and end customers.
Store visitors / end customers are individuals who browse or purchase from a merchant’s store where Discount Ninja is used.
Please follow the section that applies to your situation.
Section A – Data Subject Requests from Merchants
(For Discount Ninja customers and their authorized users)
If you are a merchant using Discount Ninja, or an authorized user acting on behalf of a merchant, you may exercise your data protection rights in relation to personal data processed by Limoni Apps as a data controller.
How to Submit a Request
Merchants may submit a data subject request by contacting us via the channels listed in the Contacts section below.
Limoni Apps may request additional information to verify your identity and authority to act on behalf of the merchant.
Scope of Requests
Subject to applicable law, merchants may request:
Access to personal data processed in connection with their account
Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
Deletion of personal data
Restriction or objection to certain processing activities
This includes personal data that Discount Ninja collects and stores about you as a merchant (e.g., contact information), as described in our Privacy Policy.
Response Timing
Limoni Apps will handle valid and complete requests without undue delay and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Section B – Data Subject Requests from Store Visitors and End Customers
(For shoppers and individuals visiting a merchant’s store)
If you are a store visitor or end customer (for example, a shopper browsing or purchasing from a merchant’s store), Limoni Apps processes personal data solely on behalf of the merchant, who acts as the data controller.
Limoni Apps does not have a direct relationship with store visitors or end customers.
How to Submit a Request
If you wish to exercise your rights under applicable data protection laws, you must contact the merchant whose store you visited or from whom you made a purchase.
The merchant is responsible for:
Receiving and managing your request
Verifying your identity
Determining the scope of the request
Limoni Apps cannot verify the identity of store visitors or end customers and therefore cannot respond directly to such requests. We will rely on the merchant’s verification of the data subject’s identity when acting on a DSAR escalation and will not independently verify identity.
Merchant Escalation to Limoni Apps
If a merchant requires assistance from Limoni Apps to fulfill a data subject request, the merchant may contact us via the channels listed in the Contacts section below.
The merchant must provide sufficient information to enable Limoni Apps to assess the request, which may include:
Store domain
Nature of the request
Relevant timeframe
Order ID(s), where applicable
Confirmation that the merchant has verified the data subject’s identity
Relevant feature context
Limoni Apps will act only on documented instructions from the merchant.
Data Availability and Limitations
Limoni Apps processes limited categories of personal data and, in some cases, only on a transient basis.
Depending on the merchant’s configuration and enabled features:
Device-level identifiers used for promotion enforcement or fraud prevention may be stored for a limited duration.
Certain customer data used for fraud-prevention features may be processed in real time and not persistently stored.
As a result, some requests may result in a response indicating that no personal data is held by Limoni Apps in relation to the identified data subject.
Deletion and Restriction
Where applicable and technically feasible, Limoni Apps will delete or restrict the processing of personal data upon instruction from the merchant and confirm completion to the merchant.
