IMPORTANT NOTE: Discount Ninja is not compatible with Shopify's native "Automatic discount rule". Please deactivate such rules before testing Discount Ninja as keeping them active may prevent the app from working (consistently). You can build out the same rules (and much more flexible and powerful ones) in Discount Ninja.
Combinations before checkout
Each offer can be configured to combine or not combine with other product, order or shipping discounts.
This is configured in the Combinations tab.
These options allow you to control how your Discount Ninja offers can be combined. Additionally, they control if promotion codes and Shopify discount codes that are entered in the Promotion Code Field can be combined with the remaining offers.
Both directions
Combinations must be set up in both directions. For example, if you want to allow a product discount to combine with another product discount, you must allow both product discounts to combine with product discounts.
Product discount
Examples of how combinations work for a product discount:
Product discounts: allow multiple product discounts to combine (for example: a gift, a BOGO and a 20% discount on a product)
Order discounts: allow stacking order discounts with product discounts (for example: a gift or a 20% discount plus a $10 discount on the order)
Shipping discounts: allow shipping discounts to combine with this product discount (for example: 20% off a product plus free shipping)

Product discounts: allow stacking order discounts with product discounts (for example: a gift or a 20% discount plus a $10 discount on the order)
Order discounts: allow multiple order discounts to combine (for example: $10 off the order plus $5 off the order = $15 off the order)
Shipping discounts: allow shipping discounts to combine with this order discount (for example: $10 off the order plus free shipping)

Examples of how combinations work for a shipping discount:
Product discounts: allow product discounts to combine with this shipping discount (for example: a gift or a 20% discount plus free shipping)
Order discounts: allow order discounts to combine with this shipping discount(for example: $10 off the order plus $5 off the order = $15 off the order)
Combinations at checkout
At checkout Shopify discount codes can be combined with Discount Ninja promotions if the checkout mode is configured to use Shopify Functions.
To allow a Shopify discount code to combine with Discount Ninja promotions, simply configure the combinations setting of that discount code in Shopify:
Using exclusive promotions
Promotions can be marked as exclusive to avoid combining them with any other available offers.
