Offer types
Discount Ninja allows you to set up two types of offers:
Product discounts
Order discounts
Some offers can be set up as either product or order discount (such as, for example, a percentage or fixed amount discounts). Other offers are always a product discount (for example a gift with purchase).
Target specific product/collection
Both product discounts and order discounts can target specific product variants, products or collections. Order discounts do not have to be sitewide.
Key differences
The key differences between product and order discounts:
Only product discounts show on the product page and collection page
In the cart:
An order discount is applied to the subtotal
A product discount is applied to the cart line item

Product and order discounts behave differently when it comes to strikethrough pricing:
