How to restrict access to a promotion by market
With Discount Ninja, you can restrict access to specific promotions based on your customers' markets. This functionality integrates seamlessly with Shopify's native Markets feature (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/international/managing), enabling you to tailor promotions for specific audiences. Follow the steps below to set this up:
Step 1: Access the Promotion Settings
Log in to your Shopify admin and navigate to the Discount Ninja app.
Select the promotion you want to adjust and click Edit.
Step 2: Enable Geotargeting by Market
In the promotion editor, go to the Trigger section.
Open the Geotargeting tab.
Toggle the Geotargeting by Market option to "On."
Step 3: Configure Market Restrictions
Use the dropdown menu to select the markets you want to Include or Exclude.
Include: Limits the promotion to the selected markets.
Exclude: Blocks the promotion from the selected markets.
Save your changes.
How It Works
The Geotargeting by Market feature aligns with Shopify Markets. It identifies the customer's selected market during their shopping session and applies the configured restrictions. For example:
If a customer from the "US Market" visits your store and you’ve restricted the promotion to the "UK Market," they won’t see the promotion.
